Students enjoyed an educational and fun visit to Aalto University
Sari Kujala’s research group recently hosted a group of students from Hong Kong, at Aalto University. Maedeh Ghorbanian Zolbin organized a workshop focused on designing digital health services for grandmothers who may have trouble finding their way back home.
The workshop began with a discussion on how digital health services can be designed to support people's daily healthcare needs, and continued with designing for older adults with memory issues. The students, aged 10 to 11, came up with creative ideas on the topic, sketched their designs, and presented them to the group.
It was inspiring to see how well the students grasped the importance of inclusive design, creating solutions that are easy for everyone to use, including their grandmothers. Workshops like this can help young people understand the value of building sustainable and inclusive societies where no one is left behind.
